Warm stroller: How to create a lovely sleeping place on summer days
Summer is lovely. But it's not so great when you're dealing with a tired baby and a stroller that's far too hot.
The stroller quickly turns into a baking oven in summer with its well-insulated base, enclosed construction, and often dark colors. It's not just uncomfortable, but also risky for the little one to sleep there on the hottest days.
But what do you do when that's where the little one sleeps best? Perhaps even the only place she'll settle down.
Fortunately, you don't need to close the curtains and move naptime indoors (where it's usually quite warm too, when it's hot outside).
Here are our tips to avoid a hot stroller and create a lovely outdoor oasis for naps on warm summer days.

Can baby sleep outside – without a stroller?
For many of us, napping outside means a stroller. But it's really more about finding a place where the little one can lie safely, protected, and comfortably during their nap.
That can just as easily be in a carrycot, baby nest, or Sleepbag.
If you have a Sleepbag, you can fold it according to our summer guide, possibly without the duvet, or transform it into a baby nest. Place it in a shady and adequately airy spot where you can keep a close eye on the little one.
Also, check that the child is lying safely – for example, that they can't fall down or be visited by a cat.
When it's difficult to sleep anywhere other than in the stroller
Small children are not always so adaptable. It can be difficult to find peace if routines are changed or surroundings are altered.
When you include an element from the usual nap, you make it easier for the little one to feel secure in the situation and understand that it's time to close their sweet eyes.
This is where your Sleepbag is handy, because it envelops the little one and can thus create the same familiarity and security as the stroller itself. Also indoors at night, by the way.
An extra bonus of the Sleepbag sleeping bag is that its temperature-regulating technology has a cooling function and helps the child not to get too hot during the nap.
Protect your baby from insects and UV rays during naptime
Nothing can ruin a lovely summer day (or a good nap) like annoying flies and creepy-crawly insects. Additionally, the UV index can also interfere with a pleasant outdoor time.
With play arches, mosquito net and UV cover for your Sleepbag you can protect the little one from the sun's rays and summer insects – even while the child is sleeping.

Alternative to the stroller on hot days
Hot days don't have to put a damper on good outdoor naps.
You can easily avoid a hot stroller by moving your child to a more open, airy, and shady spot and letting them enjoy a lovely nap in the fresh summer air.
