Material and technology

Sleepbag has been updated with the latest material technology. Both our baby sleeping bag and Sleepbag.bycar for the car seat are based on a material composition that we call TEMNI TECHNOLOGY®.

TEMNI TECHNOLOGY® is a combination that we have put a lot of thought into creating. It must be both:

• extremely soft and comfortable for the baby
• with smart technology that makes your life easier
• easy to wipe clean, washable at 60 degrees, and tumble dryer safe
• durable enough to withstand everyday use for many years (for multiple children)
• free from problematic chemicals, so you can safely put your child in the bag.

TEMNI TECHNOLOGY® consists of five parts, which you can learn about here:

Microfiber/twill – windproof, water-repellent, and breathable

On the outside of the Sleepbag baby sleeping bag and Sleepbag.bycar, you will find the outer fabric. It consists of a fiber material that is windproof, water-repellent, and 100% breathable. This makes your Sleepbag product suitable for changing weather, without the little one being affected by it.

The microfiber is easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth if the cover gets dirty.

Thermal insulation – keeps warm down to minus 20 degrees

Inside the Sleepbag products, we have an insulating material that keeps your child warm down to minus 20 degrees. Like the Danish Health Authority, we recommend that children only sleep outside until the temperature reaches minus 10 degrees. But if you are going on a dog sledding trip in colder climes – or just out for a walk on a really cold day – Sleepbag will keep the little winter explorer warm.

The material also insulates when you use your Sleepbag baby sleeping bag as a play mat on a cold floor, on the ground outside, or even warm surfaces.

Temperature regulation – according to the child's needs

Sleepbag has been updated with smart material technologies.

Outlast® is a PCM technology designed to regulate body temperature. Outlast® was originally developed for NASA to protect astronauts from the large temperature fluctuations in space. This high-tech material is one of the components included in our overall TEMNI TECHNOLOGY®.

When the child's body temperature rises, the PCM capsules absorb and store the heat before the child gets too warm. If the little one's body temperature starts to drop, the capsules release the heat again.

Plush – only the softest is soft enough

"You want to crawl into it yourself," we often hear tired parents say, and that's how it should be. Babies spend many hours in their Sleepbag baby sleeping bag and Sleepbag.bycar, and the comfort simply cannot be too high.

Therefore, we have found the softest plush, which is also free of harmful chemicals and can withstand washing at temperatures high enough for bacteria to give up.
